How did our nation fall so far?

Published: February 11, 2013

It was once written, "a nation crumbles when people support the tyrants who enslave them," meaning no resistance.

Having lived seven decades and seeing the changes in America is like watching a movie with a bad ending. There is no more "tomorrow is another day" and off to Tara for us. No Chicken Little here, just the way it is.

Many citizens become willing to give up their freedom to a government that will take care of them for their vote, of course. Those standing against are vilified with voices silenced, or worse. If you think this is an exaggeration or no big problem, consider which side that puts you on.

An even worse enslavement: Our younger generation growing up thinking that the debauchery we find ourselves in is normal thanks to the media, the entertainment and education system. There was a time when most parents protected the innocence of their children, but no more. Daughters are given over to breeding children for income. Others, barely in their teens, are allowed to emulate the dress and lifestyles of the slutty millionaire entertainers. (Yes, slutty.)

And then there's the infanticide of abortion.

America has been far from perfect, but at least there was once a fear of the living God and basic morality. And now, many people find ourselves in a world turned upside down, wondering how it happened.

If you think this is an exaggeration or no big problem, consider which side that puts you on.
