The Madison County Sheriff's Department is urging residents to be on the lookout for a gun and ammunition that apparently fell out of a truck somewhere between Holiday Shores and Edwardsville.

The 9 millimeter pistol was in a backpack along with some ammunition in the bed of its owner's pick-up. It apparently fell out of the truck Sunday morning as the truck was used to drive to church. The truck had a hard cover on the back. But it is believed that the tail gate was down.

No charges have been field in relation to the case which investigators consider to be an accident.
