Two Granite City men found hiding in a bowling alley with stolen items were charged Wednesday with felony burglary.
Ronald J. Wiggins, 33, and Russell S. Harned, 40, were charged in connection with a burglary at about 6 a.m. Tuesday at AMF Bowland on Nameoki Road in Granite City.
Madison County Sheriff's Department, who responded to an alarm at the business, found evidence of forced entry to the bowling alley. Deputies as well as officers from the Granite City Police Department searched the building.
Wiggins and Harned were found hiding in a storage room, according to police. Police said both suspects were in possession of property stolen from inside the building when officers located them.
Wiggins and Harned were being held Wednesday in the Madison County Jail in lieu of $80,000.
