The Missouri Department of Transportation will close one lane in each direction on the Poplar Street Bridge starting Monday for bridge inspection.
The lanes on the bridge will be closed weekdays from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. During that time, engineers will be using a snooper truck to look at the bridge's foundation and supporting steel. The work will last approximately three weeks.
Other ongoing traffic issues in St. Louis include:
* The Vandeventer ramp to westbound Interstate 64 is closed until late 2013.
* Lanes are shifted in both directions on I-64 between Kingshighway and Vandeventer until November 2013. The rightmost lane of eastbound I-64 will exit at Hampton.
* Interstate 70 westbound on the Blanchette bridge over the Missouri River will remain closed until fall 2013. The eastbound I-70 bridge has three lanes of traffic in each direction. The ramp from northbound 5th Street to eastbound I-70 is closed until fall 2013.
