The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

BELLEVILLE POLICE

SATURDAY, FEB. 9

2:45 p.m. Harassment by telephone -- First block of West Pheasantwood Circle. The victim reported her ex-boyfriend/suspect allegedly made hundreds of threatening calls to her within the last three days. The victim signed a nontraffic citation against the suspect for harassment by telephone.

4:36 p.m. Domestic battery -- 5800 block of Brett Michael Drive. The victim reported she and her boyfriend/suspect were involved in a verbal argument that escalated to a physical altercation. The victim was transported to an area hospital as a precaution.

7:01 p.m. Pedestrian check, possession of cannabis -- North 11th at West E Street. An officer conducted a pedestrian check on subjects standing in the roadway not moving for vehicles. A juvenile was arrested after he was found to be in possession of cannabis. The juvenile was transported and later released to his mother.

7:33 p.m. Domestic battery -- 1700 block of Mascoutah Avenue. The suspect was arrested after being involved in an argument with his girlfriend/victim that escalated to a physical altercation. The suspect was transported and held pending further investigation.

9:57 p.m. Battery, disorderly conduct -- Memorial Hospital, 4500 Memorial Drive. Tina M. Otten, 26, was arrested after creating a disturbance in the hospital's ER during which she pushed a nurse/victim. After being released from the hospital, Otten was transported and later posted bond and was released.

SUNDAY, FEB. 10

4:29 a.m. Residential burglary -- 1200 block of West Main Street. The victim reported on Feb. 9 between 4 and 8 p.m., unknown person(s) stole property from his residence. No signs of forced entry.

4:36 a.m. Home invasion, resisting arrest, criminal damage to property --First block of Hillside Lane. The victim reported her ex-boyfriend/suspect broke a window and entered her residence. The suspect allegedly battered and threatened the victim. The victim's brother was able to remove the suspect from the residence and they contacted the police. The victim also stated three tires on her vehicle had been damaged. The suspect fled the scene but returned to the residence while officers were still on scene. The suspect was arrested, transported and held pending further investigation.

1:40 p.m. Retail theft -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. Anthony J. Lepes, 56, was arrested after concealing merchandise and leaving the store without paying for the items. Lepes was transported and released after posting bond.

2:48 p.m. Retail theft -- K-Mart, 7230 Westfield Plaza. Jordan A. Eckelberger, 18 and a juvenile were arrested after concealing merchandise and leaving the store without paying for the items. The juvenile was released to his mother who arrived on scene. Eckelberger was transported and released after posting bond.

6:10 p.m. Harassment by telephone -- 200 block of Abend. The victim reported her ex-boyfriend/suspect allegedly called her and threatened to harm her. The victim signed a nontraffic citation against the suspect for the harassment. At 9:20 p.m., the suspect, Jason Closterman, 30, came to headquarters and was arrested for the nontraffic citation. Closterman posted bond and was released.

6:25 p.m. Theft -- First block of Granvue. The victim reported a prescription medicine was stolen from her bedroom. The victim believes a friend may be responsible for the theft.

7:47 p.m. Residential burglary -- 1700 block of Mascoutah Avenue. The victim reported unknown person(s) entered his residence through a previously damaged window and property was stolen.

9:47 p.m. Assist other agency, felony traffic stop -- 2100 block of Meadow Drive. Freeburg Police Department was handling a disturbance with shots fired in their city, in which the suspect involved had fled the scene and was possibly en route to Belleville. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a felony traffic stop. The suspect was detained until Freeburg officers arrived and took custody of the suspect.

10:03 p.m. Disorderly conduct, public drunkenness -- Circle K. 3801 North Belt West. The clerk and customers of Circle K reported a female was on the property creating a distubance. Officers located Brenda Hinton, 44, nearby and she appeared to be highly intoxicated. Hinton was arrested for disorderly conduct and drunkenness. Hinton was transported and held pending sobriety.

11:48 p.m. Disturbance -- 100 block of North Eighth Street. Charlene Byrd, 24, was arrested after officers responded to a family disturbance for a second time. Byrd was highly intoxicated and argued with officers. Byrd was transported and held pending sobriety.

MONDAY, FEB. 11

1:54 a.m. Drunkenness -- 9600 block of West Main Street. Byron Reynolds, 44, was arrested after the resident located him intoxicated and passed out on the front porch. The resident did not know Reynolds. Reynolds was transported and held pending sobriety.

2:23 a.m. Criminal trespass to residence -- 700 block of East McKinley. The victim reported the suspect allegedly entered her residence to see her daughter after previously being told not to return to the residence.

MONDAY, FEB. 11

7:37 a.m. Burglary --Hayes Top Style Barber Shop, 9505D W. Main St. An employee reported sometime over the weekend unknown person(s) forced a door open and entered the business. Nothing reported taken at this time.

9:23 a.m. Domestic battery -- 900 block of Green Mount Lane. The victim reported her boyfriend/suspect allegedly battered her. The suspect was arrested, transported and held pending further investigation.

11:45 a.m. Residential burglary -- 3400 block of West A Street. The victim reported between 9:30 and 10:50 a.m., unknown person(s) forced entry through the rear door to the residence and property was stolen.

1:50 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of a controlled substance -- Illinois 15 at Illinois 158. The occupants of a vehicle were arrested during a traffic stop after a controlled substance was located in the vehicle. All three suspects were transported to the St. Clair County Jail and held pending further investigation.

3:34 p.m. Retail theft -- K-Mart, 7230 Westfield Plaza. Adam L. Branson, 24, was arrested after concealing merchandise and leaving the store without paying for the itmes. Branson was transported and held pending bond.

6:08 p.m. Investigation criminal sexual assault, assist other agency -- Investigators and officers responded to the 2600 block of Mascoutah Avenue to assist the Madison County Sheriff's Department. A suspect was taken into custody and transported to headquarters for investigation. Madison County responded and took custody of the suspect.

6:12 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 600 block of East Adams. The victim reported between 3:30 and 4 p.m., unknown person(s) used a brick to break out a window on her garage.

9:15 p.m. Violation of an order of protection --First block of Blackburn Drive. The victim reported her husband/suspect violated the active order of protection when he allegedly called her sister and made threats towards the victim.

TUESDAY, FEB. 12

6:19 a.m. Aggravated battery -- 200 block of East Main Street. The victim reported about 3:30 a.m., he and a friend/suspect were involved in a physical altercation. The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in the arm.

10:13 a.m. Domestic battery, criminal damage to property -- 1700 block of South 74th Street. The victim reported she and her boyfriend/suspect were involved in a physical altercation. The suspect allegedly battered her and then damaged her vehicle. The suspect was arrested, transported and held pending further investigation.

5:23 p.m. Robbery -- South 97th Street at West Main Street. The victim reported another juvenile/suspect known to him allegedly put his hand in his hoodie pocket and took his cellphone. The suspect also took U.S. currency from the victim's pants pocket. The suspect smashed the cellphone on the roadway and fled on foot.

10:02 p.m. Domestic battery -- 1700 block of Mascoutah Avenue. The victim reported her boyfriend/suspect arrived at the residence and allegedly battered her. She fled the residence and contacted the police department. The suspect was gone on arrival.

11:24 p.m. Traffic accident, felony driving under the influence -- Illinois 161 at West Pheasant Wood. Officers responded to the area for a report of a vehicle striking a light pole. The driver/suspect fled the scene in another vehicle prior to officers arrival. Officers located the vehicle, in which the suspect was a passenger, and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect appeared to be intoxicated and refused field sobriety tests. The suspect was arrested, transported and held pending possible felony charges.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 13

8:09 a.m. Residential burglary -- 1800 block of Jay. Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress. On arrival the officers located the suspect. The suspect was arrested, transported and held pending further investigation.

8:46 p.m. Attempted burglary -- 9800 block of West Main Street. The victim reported between 4 and 8:46 p.m., unknown person(s) attempted to gain entry to his residence.

12:07 p.m. Residential burglary -- 600 block of North 39th Street. The victim reported between 8:15 a.m. and 12 p.m., unknown person(s) broke a window to gain entry to the residence and once inside property was stolen. Prior to the burglary neighbors observed a white male, 20's, 5'7", 150 pounds going door to door solicting siding work. A white male was observed near victim's residence during time frame of burglary.

12:59 p.m. Traffic stop, felony driving while revoked -- 7800 block of West Main Street. An officer conducted a traffic stop in which the driver/suspect was driving on a revoked driver's license. The suspect was transported and held pending possible felony driving while revoked charges.

6:31 p.m. Theft -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. A former employee/suspect was detained by the store's loss prevention alleged employee theft. The suspect was arrested, transported, and held pending further investigation.

9:23 p.m. Theft -- 1700 block of Muren. The victim reported an acquaintance, Jennifer R. Hill, 23, took possession of her property and failed to return it. The victim signed a nontraffic citation for theft. Hill was issued the citation and released with a notice to appear.

THURSDAY, FEB. 14

12:37 a.m. Criminal damage to property -- Apple Cleaners, 1816 North Belt West, Suite 1. Officers responded to a report of an alarm sounding at the business. On arrival officers discovered the glass to one of the door had been damaged by an unknown object.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

MONDAY, FEB. 11

Carlos P. Garrett, 51, of 539 N. 80th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of first degree murder on Oct. 3, 1989, by Illinois State Police. Garrett allegedly without lawful justification and with the intent to kill or do great bodily harm to Nicole Lynette Willis, inflicted injuries causing blunt trauma to the head of Willis, thereby causing the death of Willis.

Derrick J. Proctor, 32, of 721 St. Norbert Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a place of religious worship on Feb. 7 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Proctor allegedly while within 1,000 feet of a place of religious worship, being the Fifteenth Street Baptist Church, 1314 N. 15th St., East St. Louis, knowingly delivered to Scott Pritchett, less than 1 gram of a substance containing cocaine.

Earnest K. Goodwin, 47, of 5909 Piggott Ave., Centreville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful vehicular invasion and attempted robbery on Feb. 7 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Goodwin allegedly by force, entered into the interior of a white 1991 Mitsubishi Mirage owned by the Illinois State Police, while such vehicle was occupied by Scott Pritchett with the intent to commit a theft; knowingly attempted to take property, being U.S. currency from Pritchell, by jumping in the motor vehicle and grabbing it out of Pritchett's hand by the use of force.

Jo Ann J. Reed, 4212 Walnut Ave., Alorton, arrested on suspicion of two counts of bringing contraband into a penal institution and two counts of official misconduct on Feb. 3 by Illinois State Police. Reed allegedly without authority of any person designated or authorized to grant such authority, brought an item of contraband, being a cellular phone, which is electronic contraband, into the Alorton Police Department's detention area, a penal institution; caused another person to bring an item of contraband, being a cellular phone, which is electronic contraband, into the Alorton Police Department's detention area, a penal institution; Jo Ann Reed, a public employee, a clerk for the village of Alorton, while acting in her official capacity, knowingly peformed an act which she knew was forbidden by law to perform being the offense of bringing contraband into a penal institution, in that she knowingly without authority of any person designated or authorized to grant such authority, brought an item of contraband, being a cellular phone, which is electronic contraband, into the Alorton PD detention area; caused another person to bring an item of contraband, being a cellular phone, which is electronic contraband into the Alorton PD detention area.

Jennifer R. Harris, 22, of 212 Ridgewood Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of possession of contraband in a penal institution on Feb. 3 by Illinois State Police. Harris allegedly possessed an item of contraband, being a cellular phone, which is electronic contraband, in the Alorton Police Department's detention area, a penal institution.

John P. Williams Jr., 22, of 315 Edna Drive, O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of burglary on Feb. 8 by O'Fallon police. Williams allegedly entered a black Dodge Charger belonging to Ashley M. Jones, 424 W. Third St., O'Fallon, with the intent to commit theft.

Thomas A. Bray, 45, of 13 Shallowbrook, O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass to a residence with a person present, battery of an insulting or provoking nature and domestic battery, subsequent offense on Feb. 9 by Shiloh police. Bray allegedly not a police officer acting in the line of duty, knowingly and without authority, remained within the dwelling of Adam W. Logan, 31 Innsbruck, Shiloh, knowing an individual to be present within that dwelling; knowingly made physical contact of an insulting/provoking nature with Logan, in that he struck Logan in the face with his fist; knowingly made physical contact with Ryan Bray, a family/household member, in that said defendant struck her in the face. The defendant had been previously convicted of the offence of domestic battery on March 11, 1996.

Tyrone James Jr., 37, of 5609 Bond Ave., Alorton, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent offense on Feb. 4 by Alorton police. James allegedly took merchandise from Flying J, 140 Racehorse Drive, Alorton, being three racks of leather gloves, total value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft subsequent on Aug. 30, 2010.

Ozzie D. Bennett, 29, of 1010 N. 72nd St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and reckless discharge of a firearm on Feb. 7 by St. Clair County sheriff. Bennett allegedly, a person who has been convicted of a felony, knowingly possessed on his person a .22-caliber handgun. Defendant had been previously convicted of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Sept. 8, 2006; endangered the bodily safety of Tramyia A. Bush, in that Bennett while acting in a reckless manner, he discharged a firearm into the wall of a room occupied by Bush.

Shawn R. Lynn, 35, of 633 Lebanon Ave., Apt. B, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving on suspended license on Dec. 22 by Belleville police. Lynn allegedly drove a silver 2002 Dodge truck on North Douglas Avenue in Belleville, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driviing privileges were suspended.

Jamie R. Reeder, 36, of 18 E. Vanburen St., Millstadt, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence on Feb. 10 by Dupo police. Reeder allegedly drove a tan 1999 Toyota Frontier on Illinois 3 in Dupo while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were suspended; had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Thomas A. Stocker, 19, of 1910 E. Belle, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of burglary on Nov. 30 by Belleville police. Stocker allegedly entered a building of John Brisk, doing business as Cheap Cigarettes, 314 Sherman, St. Clair County, with the intent to commit theft.

Jeffrey L. Green, 21, of 16 N. 11th St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Feb. 10 by Alorton police. Green allegedly carried in a vehicle a .40-caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in how own abode, of fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible.

Larry D. Green Jr., 24, of 1126 St. Margaret, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of domestic battery, subsequent offense on Feb. 11 by Cahokia police. Green allegedly made physical contact with Nichole M. Green, a family/household member, by striking her in the face with his hand. Defendant had been previously convicted of domestic battery on Aug. 6, 2010.

Eric J. Gore, 29, of 845 Pershing St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, subsequent on Feb. 9 by East St. Louis police. Gore allegedly carried in a vehicle a .380-caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had been previously convicted of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Oct. 19, 2010.

TUESDAY, FEB. 12

Jay Z. Pratt, 29, of 315 Shepley Drive, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of home invasion with violence against a person on Feb. 10, 2012, by Belleville police. Pratt allegedly entered the dwelling of Lynette T. Martin, 72 Hillside Lane, Belleville, knowing Martin to be present within the dwelling; knowingly strangled Martin, a family/household member, in that the said defendant grabbed her about the neck with his hands and choked her; knowing resisted the performance of Officer Shawn Odell in his official capacity, being the arrest of Jay Z. Pratt, knowing the officer to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he pulled his arms and body away from Odell while being placed under arrest.

Jimmie L. Willis, 18, of 1407 Magdalena Ave., Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer on Feb. 11 by Southwestern Illinois College. Willis allegedly made physical contact with Eric Keller, in that he spat on Keller's arm knowing Keller to be a peace officer engaged in the performance of his authorized duties; knowingly resisted the performance of Christie Rasmussen of an authorized act within her official capacity, being the arrest of Jimmie Willis, knowing Rasmussen to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of her official duties, in that he refused to be handcuffed.

Daniel W. Brown, 45,of 2110 Meadow Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery by Freeburg police. Brown allegedly strangled a male minor, date of birth Aug. 4, 1998, a family/household member, in that the said defendant squeezed the neck of the male minor, with his hands and knowingly made physical contact with a male minor, date of birth, Aug. 4, 1998, in that he placed his hands around the neck of the male minor.

Eric E. Williams, 24, of 346 W. Park Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion ofaggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Feb. 10 by St. Clair County sheriff. Williams allegedly carried in a vehicle a .22-caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land or in his own abode or fixed place of business. Defendant had not been issued a current valid FOID Card.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 13

Charles R. Carrico, 71, of 213 N. Third St., Dupo, arrested on suspicion of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and aggravated criminal sexual abuse with a victim under 13 on June 1, 2011, by Sauget police. Carrico allegedly committed criminal sexual abuse with a minor, date of birth Aug. 13, 2005.

Keon A. Dotts, 37, of 2640 Market St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of possession amount containing substance except (A)(D) on Oct. 30 by St. Clair County sheriff. Dotts allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing Zolpidem.

Anthony Brown, 24, of 1585 S. 11th St., Springfield, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of controlled substance on Feb. 11 by St. Clair County sheriff. Brown allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Bianca J. Crockett, 23, of 1306 Martin Luther King Drive, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of forgery, make alternative document on Jan. 6, 2012 by Fairview Heights police. Crockett allegedly delivered to Regions Bank, 10950 Lincoln Trail, Fairview Heights, a document apparently capable of defrauding another, in that it was purported to have been made by another, a check, of Hamilton's Learning Center, drawn on checking account of Debra S. Hamilton, dba Hamilton's Learning center dated Jan. 6, 2012 payable to Bianca Crockett in the amount of $512.32 and signed as drawer Debra Hamilton Tidwell, knowing the document to have been thus made.

Willia G. Dantzler, 29, of 820 La Salle Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with intent to deliver cannabis on Jan. 3, by St. Clair County sheriff. Dantzler allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

Ramone R. Parker, 20, of 202 Miskell Blvd., Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, subsequent offense on Feb. 12 by East St. Louis police. Parker allegedly carried in a vehicle a 357 Magnum revolver at a time when he ws not on his own land or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immedately accessible. Defendant had been previously convicted of escape on Dec. 20.

Myron P. Cason, 46, of 3324 Converse Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Jan. 21 by East St. Louis police. Cason allegedly carried on his person a .380-caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible.

Robert V. Nowlin, 74, of 300 S. Independence, Mascoutah, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery on Dec. 18 by Mascoutah police. Nowlin allegedly caused great bodily harm to Benjamin Brown, in that he struck Brown in the face with his hand.

Gerald C. Zitta Jr., 49, of 5919 N. Park Drive, Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of driving on revoked license, subsequent on Sept. 7 by Washington Park police. Zitta drove a maroon 2002 Grand Prix on St. Clair Avenue in Washington Park, at a time when defendant's driver's license was revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on Feb. 22, 1999.

Hasani A. Eskridge, 35, of 2320 St. Louis Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of cannabis between March 8 and March 28 by St. Clair County sheriff. Eskridge allegedly had in his possession more than 500 but less than 2000 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

Charles Tsasa, 24, of 3300 Denvershire Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of cannabis on Feb. 8 by Fairview Heights police. Tsasa allegedly possessed more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a a substance containing cannabis.

Brian A. Smith, 24, of 1822 Muren Blvd., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of making a terrorist threat on Feb. 10 by St. Clair County sheriff. Smith allegedly with the intent to intimidate or coerce a significant portion of a civilian population, he knowingly threatened to commit a terrorist act, by stating through a text message, that he would shoot that school up right now, and thereby caused a reasonable expectation or fear of the imminent commission of a terrorist act.

Bernita D. Davenport, 29, of 401 Kellings Farm Road, East Carondelet, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Nov. 30 by East Carondelet police. Davenport allegedly had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.

Melinda A. Hesker, 41, of Swansea, arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, operating uninsured motor vehicle, traffic violation by St. Clair County sheriff.

Joseph H. Moore, 25, of Belleville, multiple warrant arrest by Belleville police.

Tress T. Korves, 21, of Belleville, multiple warrant arrest by Belleville police.

Graziano B. Baker, 46, of Detroit, Mich., arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon and probation violation by St. Clair County sheriff.

Zachary D. Hartwick, 20, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., arrested on suspicion of probation violation by St. Clair County sheriff.

Valerie H. Lindsay, 48, of St. Louis, warrant arrest by St. Clair County sheriff.
