Both President Obama and Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn lack focus on the most serious and pressing problems facing our country and state.

ABC reported recently that Obama's focus is on immigration reform, gun control and gay marriage when it should be on expense control, debt reduction and job creation.

It's obvious that Quinn has no focus on anything except himself, or anything Obama wants. In addition, he spends his time and our money on gay marriage, driver's licenses for illegals and gun control when he and his Democratic sidekicks should be fixing the state pension problems, controlling expenses and reducing the debt.

They are content to kick the can down the road while collecting their paychecks and bennies for doing nothing when so many people want jobs but are out of work. They should be ashamed to admit that they are politicians, claiming to represent our citizens, when all they do is further their personal interests and feather their own nest at our expense.

Unfortunately they are making the residents of this state the laughingstock of America for putting them back into office over and over again. Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Apparently there are a lot of stupid people who continue to vote them in, and the only result is more debt and higher taxes.

Perhaps we can find some more hot social issues they can waste their time and our money on.
