Motorists who commute on Illinois 158 might want to leave a few minutes earlier.
Workers have moved into high gear as they replace a trio of stoplights at the highway's intersection with Illinois 15 with a pair of roundabouts. That means lane restrictions and traffic controlled by flaggers.
The work is expected to cost about $4.7 million. The first of the two roundabouts is expected to be completed by November.
Construction of the second will begin when it is finished and will be done around by the end of November 2014.
