If you're looking to reach a new fitness goal or meet your New Year's resolution, you may want to check out the Belleville Running Club's Couch to 5K training.
An informational meeting is open to the public at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Belleville Parks and Recreation Department, 510 W. Main St.
The Couch to 5K training is a nine-week program to help beginner-level runners train for a 5K race. The enrollment fee is $10 per person and includes a BRC T-shirt.
Weekly training sessions will be held at 6 p.m. Monday nights Feb. 25-April 22 at the Belleville East High School track.
Last year, more than 80 people signed up for the Couch to 5K training.
The Belleville Running Club is a noncompetitive, nonprofit running group based in Belleville and dedicated to improving the health and fitness of the metro-east community.
