I stood beside you filling sandbags when the Mississippi topped our levies. I stood beside you pledging allegiance to our flag at ball games, school plays and Fourth of July celebrations. I stood beside you at the funerals of family and friends. I will stand beside you in times of need.

As American citizens, is it not better to stand together than to stand your ground? As citizens we can stand together to strengthen our ideals no matter the divide.

We are citizens of the United States of America. We will overcome any and all obstacles that serve to divide us.

I may be a liberal, but I am not your enemy.
