Belleville blotter: 4 teens batter man, woman on bi-state bus

Published: February 21, 2013

The following report appeared in the most recently released crime blotter by the Belleville Police Department:

WEDNESDAY

7:56 a.m. MOB ACTION - 2300 block of W. Main Street. The victims, a 22-year-old female and a 47-year-old male, reported while riding a bi-state bus they were allegedly battered by four juveniles. The bus driver stopped the bus and requested the juveniles leave the bus. The juveniles, two 17-year-old males, a 15-year-old male and a 16-year-old female, were located, arrested and transported to headquarters, held pending further investigation.

Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. For more police blotter news, read tomorrow's print edition of the Belleville News-Democrat and return to bnd.com.
