Mark Mix, president of the Natonal Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation and author, will speak at the next meeting of the Metro East Pachyderm Club.

The meeting is at 6 p.m. Thursday at 17th Street Barbecue, 711 Highway 50, O'Fallon.

Mix also chairs the National Right to Work Committee, a 2.2 million-member public policy organization. He will speak about the legal bases for voluntary unionization and the recent court decision about presidential recess appointments, which is expected to impact the National Labor Relations Board.

Mix frequently appears as a guest on Fox News Channel and has also appeared on CNBC and CNN. His writings have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, Washington Examiner and National Review.

The meeting is open to the public.
