Belleville Good Government Party hosts fundraiser

City of Belleville and Belleville Township candidates of the Belleville Good Government Party will have a fundraiser on Monday.

The event is from 5 to 8 p.m. at Papa Vito’s, 318 E. Washington St. in Belleville.

Tickets are $50 for individuals and $75 for couples. Tickets are sold at the door.

The event will feature a musical guest and a wine tasting by Crown Valley Winery.

The city of Belleville candidates are: incumbent Mayor Mark Eckert; incumbent City Clerk Linda Fields; incumbent City Treasurer Jerry Turner; incumbent Ward 1 Alderman Ken Kinsella; incumbent Ward 2 Alderwoman Dorothy Meyer; incumbent Ward 3 Alderman Rob Anderson; Johnnie Anthony for Ward 4 alderman; incumbent Ward 5 Alderman Phillip Silsby; incumbent Ward 6 Alderman Dave Martinson; Victoria Weygandt for Ward 7 alderwoman; and incumbent Ward 8 Alderman James Musgrove. The Belleville Township candidates are: incumbent Township Supervisor Dennis Korte Sr.; incumbent Trustee Mary McHugh; incumbent Trustee Paul Klingler; incumbent Trustee Joyce Laux; and incumbent Trustee Lawrence Wimpe.

The clerk elected to the city of Belleville also will serve as clerk for the township. Fields currently serves in those roles.
