Gov. Pat Quinn's Demo-crats hold monopoly control of the Illinois legislature. This self-serving claque makes 19th century robber barons seem like misunderstood social workers.
Civil war erupted in the Illinois Democratic Party the moment President Obama vacated his Senate seat. Obama moved to select his successor. "Not so fast", said former Gov. Rod Blagojevich. "That's my job".
In the Marxist world nobody talks to their boss like that. Blago destroyed himself when he did. Lapdog Democratic officeholders and their Marxist media chums called for Blago's impeachment. But they could find no legal reason to do so. Reportedly, federal prosecutors leaked illegal confidential evidence on Blago to the boss's hatchet men in the Illinois legislature.
Illinois politicians are allied with a character who effectively "leads from behind." The media reincarnated Blago as the new "Jack the Ripper" and a gullible public applauded.
Blago appointed an honest party hack to the vacant Senate seat, making an end run around the big boss and his federal prosecutor. Blago now lives justly in the Big House.
The Chicago mob, with guidance from their absent boss "leading from behind," still runs the legislature. The hapless Pat Quinn is governor. Peter Fitzgerald, the former federal attorney who made all this possible, has been appointed to the University of Illinois Board of Trustees.
All of this gives Quinn and his henchmen time to solve real problems facing Illinois. You know, homosexual marriage and gutting the U.S. Constitution.
Blago's new roommate could come from this gang.
