Don't pass up the opportunity to take part in hands-on cooking classes at the Collinsville Library. Through May, it is offer twice-monthy presentations by culinaria Kathy Seibel. Here's the info:

When: Tuesday classes, 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Saturday classes, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Schedule:

March 12 and March 16 -- Luck of the Irish. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day classic recipes.

April 16 and April 20 -- Icing on the Cupcakes. Spring into the season with some delicious cupcake recipes and learn some tricks and tips for decorating with ease.

May 21 and May 25 -- Party time. Learn some quick, easy and delicious recipes for light appetizers and dishes perfect for bringing to a graduation or Memorial Day party.

Where: Collinsville Library, 408 W. Main St., Collinsville.

Cost: $5.

Registration: Required and must be done in person at the main desk at the library.
