Belleville blotter: Men arrested after altercation in Memorial's ER

Published: February 25, 2013

— The following report appeared in the most recently released crime blotter by the Belleville Police Department:

DISORDERLY CONDUCT - Memorial Hospital, 4500 Memorial Dr. Hospital security reported two subjects created a disturbance in the ER and in the parking lot. Hospital security signed citations for disorderly conduct against both subjects. Officers located the subjects, Ira Lukowsky, 26, and Benjamin Casey, 22, in the parking lot. Lukowsky and Casey were arrested. Lukowsky was transported to headquarters where he later posted bond and was released. Casey was extremely intoxicated. He was treated at the hospital, issued the citation and released with a notice to appear.

Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. For more police blotter news, read tomorrow's print edition of the Belleville News-Democrat and return to bnd.com.
