BELLEVILLE POLICE

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 20

6:59 a.m. Attempted residential burglary -- 1700 block of Mascoutah Avenue. The victim reported sometime overnight unknown person(s) attempted to gain entry to the residence.

7:56 a.m. Mob action -- 2300 block of West Main Street. The victims reported while riding a Bi-State bus they were allegedly battered by four juveniles. The bus driver stopped the bus and requested the juveniles leave the bus. The juveniles were located, arrested, transported and held pending further investigation.

11:27 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- Meineke, 2307 Old Collinsville Road. The vehicle owner/victim reported she parked her vehicle on the business parking lot overnight where unknown person(s) forced entry and property was stolen.

12:30 p.m. Felony driving under the influence -- Old Collinsville at West Boulevard. The suspect was arrested after he hit the victim's vehicle. The suspect appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests.

7 p.m. Assault -- 300 block of North Church Street. The victim reported an acquaintance/suspect threatened to batter the victim via the Internet. The victim signed an nontraffic citation for assault against the suspect.

THURSDAY, FEB. 21

7:53 a.m. Suspicious subject, possession of drug paraphernalia -- 700 block of Vicksburg. Neighbors abserved an older male walking through the neighborhood looking through mailboxes. Officers located the man and found a crack pipe on him. He was arrested and transported to the St. Clair County Jail.

2 p.m. Possible drug overdose -- 300 block of North 10th Street. The department received a call of a male who was unresponsive. Officers located the subject with no pulse. EMTs were unable to revive the subject. Ivestigators, a crime scene investigator along with the coroner's office responded. Officers found an infant (no signs of injury) inside the residence. The baby was released to a family member.

4:30 p.m. Domestic battery -- 300 block of Balina. Suspect was arrested for allegedly battering his wife. He was held pending further investigation.

6:44 p.m. Retail theft -- Schnucks, 110 Carlyle. Two males approximately 18 years of age walked out of the store without paying for liquor.

9:08 p.m. Disturbance -- St. Elizabeth's Hospital, 211 S. Third St.. Justin Wells, 46, was arrested for disorderly conduct at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. He was held pending bond.

FRIDAY, FEB. 22

12:39 a.m. Retail theft -- Shop N Save, 4201 North Belt West. Johnathan Franklin, 19, was stopped by Shop N Save security after he took four bottles of wine and left without attempting to purchase them. He was taken into custory and transported to headquarters.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

THURSDAY, FEB. 21

Darryl D. Anderson, 41, of 3319 Bond Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of robbery and domestic battery, subsequent offense on Feb. 19 by Belleville police. Anderson allegedly took property, being U.S. currency, from Parry L. Tompkin by the use of force; caused bodily harm to Tompkin, a family/household member, in that Anderson bit him in the hand. Defendant had been previously convicted of domestic battery on Feb. 1, 2002.

William S. Glover, 52, of 1022 S. Church St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence, driving on revoked license, failure to stop after an accident involving property damage on Feb. 20 by Belleville police. Glover allegedly drove a red 1996 Mercury Cougar on West Adams Street in Belleville, while the defendant was under the influence of alochol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were revoked and he knowingly failed to stop the vehicle he was driving after that vehicle was involved in an accident at Old Collinsville Road and West Boulevard in Belleville, in which a silver 1997 Ford Taurus was damaged as a result of that accident.

Sebastian C. Sanders, 30, of 604 St. Monica, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of three counts of domestic battery, subsequent on Feb. 20 by East St. Louis police. Sanders allegedly made physical contact with Terraesha Willis, a family/household member, in that said defendant hit her in the face, ripped her shirt and slapped her. Defendant had been previously convicted of domestic battery on Sept. 2, 2011.

FRIDAY, FEB. 22

Dominic R. Hood, 18, of 1901 Winstanley Ave., Apt. D, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery on Feb. 6 by Cahokia police. Hood allegedly took property, being an iPhone and ear buds from Chaekiethione Campbell, by threatening the imminent use of force.

Robert J. Billups, 31, of 511 St. Leo, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery and three counts of domestic battery, subsequent offense on Feb. 21 by Cahokia police. Billups allegedly strangled Tammy King, a family/household member of the defendant, in that said defendant grabbed King by the neck and choked her; grabbed her by the neck, hit her in the face, tore her pants. Defendant had been previously convicted of Aggravated domestic battery on Feb. 6, 2012.

Richard Torti, 58, of 101 S. Third St., Caseyville, arrested on suspicion of theft between Jan. 1, 2009, and March 31, 2010, took property of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1117, 415 Long St., Caseyville, being U.S. currency, total value in excess of $300.

Emon N. Shanklin, 49, homeless, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of theft on Feb. 6 by Alorton police. Shanklin allegedly took merchandise from the Flying J, 140 Racehorse Drive, Alorton, being miscellaneous boxes of candy, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft, subsequent on Nov. 27, 2000.
