The second major winter storm in a week is making travel rough to our west with as much as seven inches of snow in central Missouri.
But the St. Louis metropolitan area is expected to avoid any significant snow or ice accumulation Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain is expected throughout the metro-east until about 3 p.m. when the precipitation could turn to light snow. A maximum of half an inch to an inch is predicted.
The high temperature Tuesday is expected to reach 37 degrees. But it will seem much cooler thanks to wind gusts of up to 24 miles an hour.
Light snow accumulation of less than an inch is expected Wednesday with a high temperature of 37 degrees.
