Dallas Cook, candidate for Belleville city clerk, will meet young voters Friday.
The event starts at 8 p.m. at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, 108 E. A St. in Belleville.
Cook will speak about 9 p.m. Then there will be a musical performance by Garrett Peeks band, The Rombolinis. Peek is a candidate for alderman in Ward 1.
Deputy registrars will be at the event to register voters.
Cook, 27, and Peek, 31, are two of the youngest candidates in the Unified Independent Coalition for All of Belleville. The coalition supports Joe Hayden, who is currently a Ward 5 alderman and running for mayor of Belleville.
Other candidates in the coalition are: Kent McCoy for treasurer, Janet K. Schmidt in Ward 2, Kent Randle in Ward 3, incumbent Tim Carpenter in Ward 4, Michael Hagberg in Ward 5, Bob White in Ward 6 and Trent Galetti in Ward 7.
The Belleville Township candidates are Joy Schreiber and Joe Swierczek for trustee.
