Grant School District 110 is holding a town hall meeting Friday to discuss the referendum that will appear on the April 9 ballot. The district is asking Fairview Heights voters to approve a tax increase to pay for the schools.
The district is asking for a tax increase that equals about $99 a year, or about $8.25 a month, for the owner of a $100,000 home.
Superintendent Matt Stines plans to tell residents at the meeting why the referendum is needed and answer questions. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to register to vote.
The town hall meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Grant Middle School, located at 10110 Old Lincoln Trail in Fairview Heights.
