An overnight fire destroyed a detached garage and two vehicles in Swansea Wednesday, according to fire officials. No injuries were reported.
When firefighters first arrived on scene just before 2 a.m., Swansea Fire Chief John McGuire said the 30-by-30-foot detached garage at 801 Gilbert St. was fully involved, and the roof had collapsed.
The garage and two vehicles parked in front of it were destroyed, McGuire said, and two adjacent houses sustained heat damage to vinyl siding.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Swansea was assisted by Northwest Fire Department.
