This is in response to the letter written by Mary Fischer. It really is amusing that Belleville Mayor Mark Eckert can do and say anything he wants, but let someone like Alderman Joe Hayden do what should be done and stand up for we, the people, and Fischer has a problem. The reason he spoke out over Alderman Ken Kinsella is the only way they allowed him to speak. I thought we, the people, have freedom of speech so that tells me he has a right to speak.

We, the people of Belleville, better start looking into our city and if we do not get Eckert out of office, we are going to have to leave because we are going to be taxed right out. I'm a senior citizen still working and keeping up on the problems our town is suffering. Anyone who thinks things are good better get deeply involved.

I met Hayden about a year ago and this is the first person that I feel really cares about the residents of Belleville.

I'm going to vote for Joe Hayden. He is interested in helping the people, not spending our money.
