Quail Club sets its 3-D shoots for 2013

The Quail Club will hold 3-D Bow Shoots on March 24, April 28 and Sept. 29.

They are realistic bow hunting experiences with 40 targets situated in the fields and wooded area on the grounds of the Quail Club. This hunting experience places 3-D targets in realistic hunting situations.

Registration is from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cost is $12 for adults; $10 for youth (13-17) and seniors (55+); $5 for cubs (12 and under).

All shoots will be held regardless of the weather.

Rangefinders, Broadheads and Blunt Points are not permitted. Cross Bows are allowed in their own class. All participants must wear orange.

Plaques are awarded in all classes: Hunters, Open, Seniors (55+), Women, Traditional, Youth (13-17), Cubs (12 & Under) and Crossbow.

Those who participate in all four shoots in 2013 will be eligible for the drawing for a $400 gift certificate to Town Hall Archery.

The Quail Club will serve free biscuits and gravy and soup. Hot dogs, hamburgers and french fries will be available for purchase and there will be a full-service bar.

No alcohol is allowed in hunt areas.

The Quail Club also is selling tickets for its Gun-A-Month raffle. Guns are raffled at 9 p.m. on the first Friday fish fry of the month.

There is also a meat shoot at noon March 10 at the club.

Directions to the Quail Club: Take Illinois 15 to Frank Scott Parkway, go south on Frank Scott until the four-way stop sign at Concordia Church, turn right onto Concordia Church and go west about 2 miles to the Quail Club.
