A parent can turn a blind eye to their child's or children's activities for only so long. Most parents, especially moms, know when their child is up to no good or lying.

I realize the economy is in the tank. However, increasing break-ins and robberies are not the answer.

A lot of people are scared or just fed up. Gun sales have increased over the past few months. Chances are that someone will be armed when your child is stealing from him, and your child could be killed.

No one wants to see that happen. Now is the time for people to open their eyes and really see what their children are doing. If they are making a criminal choice, they are responsible for the actions, not the victim.

For those screaming gun control, it will never stop the criminals from having a gun. Imagine this: You come home one day and find a man in your house raping your wife, daughter or mother. Will you tap him on the shoulder and ask him politely to stop, or will you be wishing you had a gun?
