Belleville blotter: Raid of underage drinking, drug party yields arrest

Published: March 4, 2013

— The following report appeared in the most recently released crime blotter by the Belleville Police Department:

Saturday

11:05 p.m. INVESTIGATION - CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY OF A MINOR - 2700 block of Sassy Ln. Officers responded to an anonymous report of an underage party. Officers discovered that everyone was of age except for one subject, a 14-year-old boy. The juvenile was at the residence with his brother, 21. Officers smelled the odor of cannabis and noticed that some subjects were drinking. The juvenile advised officers he smoked a small amount of cannabis. A third subject, Ricardo Blake II, 24, had an outstanding St. Clair County warrant. He was arrested and transported to the St. Clair County Jail. The juvenile was transported to headquarters and released to his father.

Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. For more police blotter news, read tomorrow's print edition of the Belleville News-Democrat and return to bnd.com.
