Some Illinois lawmakers are proposing that a new law for concealed carry permits should be issued on a "may issue" system, with the county sheriff or other government officials deciding who gets permission to carry a concealed gun. Would I be allowed to obtain a permit by Monroe County Sheriff Dan Kelley?
