Tom Keefe, the Dean of St. Louis University's Law School, is resigning.

"Me and academia are like oil and water," the Belleville attorney told KSDK TV Channel 5.

Keefe put the blame on what he calls his political incorrectness and "big mouth."

There were also allegations of sexual harassment, but Keefe has denied those allegations.

"All I know is this. I know that I say politically incorrect things all the time. And I don't say them to hurt anybody. I just say them because my mouth is too big," Keefe said."But, I sure as heck don't have any knowledge or belief that ever harassed anyone. I don't understand that I'm even charged with that based on what I've been told. What I've been told is that what I did wrong is that I ran my mouth too much. And for that I'm sorry and for that I'm resigning."

St. Louis University has yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
