The mercury will drop into the mid-20s overnight Wednesday before a gradual warming trend brings 60-degree temperatures to the metro-east this weekend.

The high is expected to reach the mid-40s Thursday under mostly sunny skies, with a high in the low-50s on Friday.

The weekend promises to be springlike, with the mercury reaching the low-60s on Saturday and 60 on Sunday under partly sunny skies.
