Police, paramedics respond to car accident in Belleville

— Police officers, firefighters and paramedics responded to a car accident at the intersection of North Belt West and Royal Heights Road Thursday morning.

Emergency responders said over their radios that at least one person is seriously injured and that there may be kids in car seats involved in the accident. At the scene, one car with side damage was being loaded on the back of a truck while a silver Pontiac with a crinkled hood sat on the northeast side of the intersection next to the curb.

The accident happened about 8:45, according to the reports. The patrol commander at the Belleville Police Department refused to release any information about the accident, the victims or the injuries suffered.
