Now in its third year of operations at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Belle-Clair Promotions has announced its 2013 racing and events schedule.
The weekly stock car racing will continue Friday nights with a World of Outlaws Super Late Model event and the Lucas Oil POWRi Midget series also visiting the historic "bullring" track once again.
The 2013 season begins March 15 with the $1,500 to win "Shamrock 40" event for UMP Super Late Models, cars that will hit the high banks with a vengeance for 40 laps of exciting wheel-to-wheel action.
Gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Adult tickets are $15 and children under 12 are free.
Race teams will be coming to Belleville from all over the Midwest, eager to make their mark. A competitive group of the best UMP Modified drivers will be on hand to battle for the first checkered flag of the season.
Along with events designed to bring adults to the track, there also is a lot for children to enjoy with coin and dollar races, bike races, the Mega-Kids night featuring lots of prizes and more.
On March 23, the Lucas Oil POWRi Midgets will make their first visit of 2013 for the "Bullring 30s" event. POWRi Midgets, UMP Modifieds and POWRi 600 cc Outlaw Micros also will be competing in three separate 30-lap feature events.
Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults with children 12-under free.
The March 15 race will have a companion race at Highland Speedway on March 16 with UMP Late Models running for $1,500 to win.
This is the second year these two race tracks have worked together for the fans and drivers to have back-to-back events.
Belle-Clair Speedway again will feature UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsmen, UMP Pure Stocks and UMP Pro 4's.
Some of the events will be the UMP Summer Nationals for the fifth time, the third running of the UMP Late Models with the POWRi Midgets on May 17 and the POWRi Midgets and 600cc Mini Sprints again will have four shows this year.
In September, the World of Outlaws will return to Belle-Clair Speedway for the second year. On July 5-6, the POWRi Midget along with USAC and BADGER midgets will run a two-day show that will bring many of the best midget drivers to the track for the first time in a combined show.

Highland Speedway
Highland Speedway will be running UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks, and SportMods on Saturday nights again this year.
Highland will offer some specials besides its weekly racing on Saturday nights. They will be part of the UMP Summer Nationals on July 6 for a $10,000 to win show for the Late Models, the Midwest Open Wheel Sprints (MOWA) will be part of Madison County Fair week along with the UMP Late Models.

Tri-City Speedway
Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach near Granite City will run the same classes as last year -- UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Pro Late Models, UMP Street Stocks and Pro 4's --racing on Friday nights.
Tri-City will have several special events. On April 19 there will be a ALMS/UMP Late Models event, May 3 will see the Lucas Oil Late Models racing for $10,000 to win, July 25 will feature the Midwest Open Wheel Sprints, June 21 will be the UMP Summer Nationals with $10,000 to win for the Late Models.
Also planned are the Lucas Oil Late Models returning July 12, May 31 will have the USAC/POWRi Midgets for the HUT 100, Modified Mania returns in September and the seventh annual Gold Crown is a three-day show in October with $15,000 to the winner.

Federated Auto Parts Raceway
Federated Auto Parts I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo., will race UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsmen, and UMP Pro 4's on its weekly Saturday night program.
Special events are World of Outlaw Sprint cars for two shows on April 27 and Aug. 2-3. Also scheduled are the UMP Summer Nationals on June 29, the Tri-State Challenge for UMP/MARS Late Models, UMP/MARS Challenge on Aug. 24 and World of Outlaw Late Models on Sept. 14.
