The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

BELLEVILLE POLICE

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 27

6:21 p.m. Harassment by phone -- 1400 block of West Main Street. The victim reported the suspect, who is known to the victim, made numerous calls threatening to harm her. The victim signed a nontraffic citation against the suspect.

6:26 p.m. Residential burglary -- 400 block of Hunters Glen. The victim reported unknown person(s) stole property from her residence at an unknown date and time.

6:48 p.m. Disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia -- Shop 'N Save, 4117 North Belt West. Officers responded to the gas station at Shop 'N Save for a report of an unruly, intoxicated female. The female created a disturbance in the store after purchasing alcohol. Shop 'N Save security detained the female, Tomeka D. Smith, 42. Smith was arrested for disorderly conduct and drug paraphernalia was found on her. She was transported, processed and held pending bond.

8:26 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia -- 4400 block of West Main Street. The driver, Gregory E. Ebersohl, 49, was arrested during a traffic stop after he was found in possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Ebersohl was transported, processed and released after posting bond.

THURSDAY, FEB. 28

12:20 a.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis -- North Belt West at Freedom Drive. The driver, Brian J. Wood, 26, was arrested during a traffic stop after he was found in possession of cannabis. Wood was transported, processed and released after posting bond.

3:04 a.m. Attempted vehicle theft, burglary -- Ameren Power Co., 1050 West Blvd. At 3:04 a.m., officers responded to the Ameren complex for a report of a subject being observed inside the fenced area of the yard. An officer arrived on scene and observed a subject inside the yard. The officer lost sight of the subject. Officers gained entry to the fenced area and searched the yard with no subjects located. Officers responded a second time at 4:38 a.m. for a report of a possible stolen vehicle. On arrival officers located a truck that appeared to have rammed the gate but was not able to exit the yard.

2:55 a.m. Residential burglary, arrest -- 1100 block of Dawn Drive. The victim reported she heard a noise coming from a window in a bedroom. She checked and observed a subject in the bedroom. The subject closed the door to the bedroom. The victim called for her grandson/witness for help. They gained entry to her bedroom and the suspect was gone. At 8:02 a.m. two subjects were located by officers and arrested. Both suspects were transported and held pending further investigation.

9:48 a.m. Theft -- 1000 block of Belle Valley Drive. The reported party stated sometime between September and today, unknown person(s) removed an air conditioning unit from the rear of the apartment complex.

4:34 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 700 block of South Virginia. The victim reported between 5:30 p.m. and 6 a.m., unknown person(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and property was stolen.

7:38 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- First block of Pheasantwood. The victim reported a damaged window screen.

8:08 p.m. Violation of an order of protection -- 300 block of North 10th Street. The victim reported her ex-boyfriend/suspect called her several times, violating an active order of protection.

10:45 p.m. Pedestrian check, possession of controlled substance -- 200 block of Wabash. An officer observed a pedestrian acting in a suspicious manner in the 100 block of Wabash. Due to the past burglaries in the area, the officer attempted to make contact with the subject. The subject began running from the officer. Officers searched the area and located the subject and a controlled substance in the area where the subject was located. The subject was arrested, transported, processed and later released to his mother.

Friday, March 1

1:56 a.m. Traffic stop, obstructing identification -- East Main Street at South Delaware. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a 1995 Chevrolet. A passenger in the vehicle, Camile A. White, 25, gave officers an incorrect name and date of birth. White was discovered to have an outstanding warrant out of St. Clair County. White was transported, processed and issued a nontraffic citation for obstructing identification and given a notice to appear. White was then transported to the St. Clair County Jail for the warrant.

3:32 a.m. Vehicle accident, driving under the influence, obstruction of justice -- 3400 block of Old Freeburg Road. Officers respond to a report of a rollover accident. Bradley W. Beene, 25, stated he was the driver of the vehicle. Officers later discovered that Cherise N. Nance, 19, was the actual driver. Beene was arrested for obstruction and Nance was arrested for driving under the influence. Both were transported and processed. Beene was held pending bond. Nance was released after posting bond.

5:26 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 1100 block of LaSalle. Officers responded to the area for a report of a suspicious subject lifting door handles on vehicles. Officers located the subject and conducted a pedestrian check. While speaking with the subject, the officer located numerous items in his possession with names listed other than his. The subject was apprehended, transported and held pending further investigation.

6:30 a.m. Burglary -- Papa Vito's, 318 E. Washington St. An officer was patrolling the area when he heard an audible alarm sounding. The officer discovered a window on the front door to the restaurant smashed out. The business owner responded and stated entry had been gained and property was stolen.

10:28 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 600 block of Bristow Avenue. Officers contacted the victims after locating a subject who had property containing their names in his possession. After checking their vehicles, the victim reported the vehicles had been rummaged through and property was missing.

11:45 a.m. Criminal damage to property -- 500 block of Vicksburg. The victim reported between 2 and 3 a.m., unknown person(s) damaged the outside mirrors of her vehicle.

11:50 a.m. Criminal trespass, disorderly conduct -- Belle Valley School, 2465 Amann Drive. The school superintendent reported the suspect entered the school and created a disturbance. The suspect was gone on arrival. The superintendent signed a nontraffic citations for trespassing and disorderly conduct against the suspect.

7:19 p.m. Aggravated fleeing and eluding, driving under the influence -- Foley Drive at Wesley Drive. Street crimes detectives responded to the area for an emergency broadcast of a possible driving under the influence. The detectives located the vehicle, a 2001 white Cadillac, and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop and continued driving approximately 30 mph on a flat tire. Other Belleville Police Department officers along with several officers from surrounding agencies joined the pursuit, which ended one-fourth of a mile west of Illinois 157 on Illinois 15, when the driver came to a stop. The driver refused to exit his vehicle. The officer gained entry to the vehicle through a broken rear passenger side window and tasered the driver to gain compliance. The driver was physically removed from the vehicle and arrested.

8:25 p.m. Traffic accident with fatalities -- 7900 block of Old St. Louis Road. Officers responded to a report of a two-car accident with injuries with subjects were trapped inside of the vehicles. Several officers, fire units and EMS personnel responded to the scene. Both vehicles had heavy front end damage. A white, Chevrolet Venture minivan was occupied by four subjects, the driver, Thomas Hutchison, 51, was extricated from the vehicle and transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A rear passenger, Zachary Hutchison, 9, was transported to Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The front passenger and a rear passenger were transported to area hospitals for treatment. The second vehicle, a black 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser, was occupied by one subject. The driver/suspect was transported to a St. Louis hospital for treatment.

8:52 p.m. Traffic accident -- Illinois 15 at Charles Street. An officer was investigating a vehicle accident. His patrol vehicle was struck from behind. The officer was transported to an area hospital and later released after treatment for minor injuries. Illinois State Police handled the accident.

SATURDAY, MARCH 2

9:24 a.m. Burglary --Platinum Barber Shop, 9821C W. Main St. The business owner/victim reported between 7 p.m. and 8:45 a.m., unknown person(s) forced entry to the business through a window and property was stolen.

11:21 a.m. Battery -- First block of South 60th Street. The victim reported on Feb. 28, Marion Jones, 75, allegedly touched her in an insulting and provocative manner. The victim signed a nontraffic citation against Jones. Jones was arrested, issued the citation and released with a notice to appear.

1:53 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis -- South Illinois at South Belt East. Cornell Wren, 26, was arrested during a traffic stop after being found in possession of cannabis. Wren was transported, processed and later released after posting bond.

10:27 p.m. Retail theft -- Shop 'n Save, 4201 North Belt West. A juvenile was arrested after he was observed by store security taking merchandise from the store without purchasing the items. The juvenile was released at the scene to his older brother.

11:05 p.m. Investigation, contributing to the delinquency of a minor -- 2700 block of Sassy Lane. Officers responded to an anonymous report of an underage party. Officers discovered that everone was of age except for one subject. The juvenile was at the residence with his brother. Officers smelled the odor of cannabis and noticed that some subjects were drinking. The juvenile advised officers he smoked a small amount cannabis. A third subject, Ricardo Blake II, 24, had an outstanding St. Clair County warrant. He was arrested and transported to the St. Clair County Jail. The juvenile was transported and released to his father.

SUNDAY, MARCH 3

12:46 a.m. Curfew violation, failure to supervise -- 1800 block of Mascoutah Avenue. Officers located two juveniles walking on Mascoutah Avenue. The juveniles were transported to headquarters. One of the juvenile's mothers, Takeila Blackwell, 32, was contacted and responded to headquarters. The juveniles were issued nontraffic citations for curfew violation. Blackwell was issued a nontraffic citation for failure to supervise. The juveniles were released to Blackwell. The other juvenile's mother was advised her son was released to Blackwell.

1:26 a.m. Possible violation of stalking, no contact order -- 600 block of North 39th Street. The victim reported the suspect allegedly called her three times violating a stalking-no contact order.

11:35 a.m. Criminal damage to property -- 2700 block of Godfrey. The victim reported the Daryl Bean, 51, allegedly used a cinderblock to smash the windshield of his car. The victim signed a nontraffic citation against the suspect. Bean was arrested, transported, processed and held pending bond.

3:47 p.m. Theft -- 300 block of Kansas Avenue. The victim reported he believes his cellphone was stolen when a friend recently gave him a ride to the 1100 block of Lebanon Avenue.

6:20 p.m. Theft of property -- First block of Hillside. The victim reported on March 2, the USPS delivered a package to his residence and left it at the front door. The victim checked the area surrounding the front door and the package could not be located.

6:44 p.m. Attempted burglary -- 500 block of South 17th Street. The victim reported between 12:30 p.m. and 6:20 p.m., unknown person(s) attempted to gain entry to the residence through a rear door.

8:49 p.m. Retail theft -- Shop 'n Save, 4201 North Belt West. Store security observed the suspect open a bottle of alcohol. He drank from the bottle and placed it back on the shelf. He was apprehended by security. The suspect was released on scene to his mother.

9:29 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 500 block of South 17th Street. The victim reported hearing the window break. On further investigation a hole was located in the window.

MONDAY, MARCH 4

8:24 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 2100 block of Muren Boulevard. The victim reported between March 3 at 3 p.m. and March 4 at 3:29 a.m., unknown person(s) gained entry by unknown means to his locked 2002 Chevy Avalanche parked in his driveway. The vehicle was rummaged through and property stolen. Some of the stolen property was later located in a neighbor's yard and processed by CSI.

1:41 p.m. Domestic battery -- 400 block of North Fifth Street. Officers responded to a report of a subject removal. Officers spoke with the suspect who wanted her son/victim removed from the residence. The victim stated he argued with his mother and she battered him. The suspect was arrested, transported, processed and held pending further investigation.

5:10 p.m. Arson -- 2700 block of Brookmeadow Drive. The victim reported a juvenile neighbor advised him he extinguished a small fire next to the victim's house with a garden hose. The victim observed a small bare spot next to hishouse, melted siding and a burnt pack of matches. The victim stated a similar incident occurred approximately nine months ago.

6:20 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 1900 block of Scheel Street. The victim reported unknown person(s) entered her vehicle and rummaged inside. Nothing was taken.

6:33 p.m. Retail theft -- K-Mart, 7230 Westfield Plaza. Jacklyn McCormack, 24, was arrested after store security observed her conceal merchandise and leave the store without paying. Store security detained McCormack. She was transported, processed and released after posting bond.

9:29 p.m. Burglary to residence -- 900 block of North 40th Street. The victim reported returning home to discover the front door unlocked. Upon entering the residence, the victim discovered property had been stolen.

10:07 p.m. Suspicious vehicle, pedestrian under influence -- First block of Lakeshore Drive. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the first block of Lakeshore Drive. Officers located the owner of the vehicle, Timothy E. Pflasterer, 28, walking from the rear of a residence. Pflasterer was found to be intoxicated and arrested for pedestrian under the influence. Pflasterer was transported, processed and released after posting bong.

10:19 p.m. Burglary to residence -- 2400 block of Dutch Hollow Road. The reporting party stated she arrived at her boyfriend/victim's residence and discovered an open front door. She entered and observed a known subject in one of the bedrooms. She spoke to the suspect; he ignored her and walked out the front door. A second unknown subject, ran out of the front door from a different bedroom. Property along with a handgun was stolen from the residence.

11:24 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- First block of North 40th Street. The victim reported between Feb. 22 and March 4, unknown person(s) broke out the side window of his Ford Ranger and property was stolen.

TUESDAY, MARCH 5

1:07 a.m. Traffic accident, driving under the influence -- 2400 block of Mascoutah Avenue. Officers resonded to a report of a one vehicle accident. The driver, Ryan M. McManus, 32, appeared to be intoxicated. McManus was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Upon release, McManus was arrested, transported, processed and held pending bond.

1:59 a.m. Domestic battery -- First block of West G Street. The victim reported arguing with her boyfriend/suspect. The suspect escalated and battered the victim. The suspect took the victim's phone when she called 911 to report the battery. The victim was chased from the residence by the suspect and assaulted a second time on the street. The victim escaped and ran to the St. Clair County Jail. Deputies contacted the Belleville Police Department. The suspect was gone on arrival.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

SUNDAY, MARCH 3

Brittney M. Hoover, 27, of 18 Lexington Drive, Millstadt, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Feb. 19 by St. Clair County sheriff. Hoover allegedly had in her possession a substance containing hydrocodone.

George E. Habermehl Jr., 48, of 116 Slazenger, O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle and theft on Feb. 27 by O'Fallon police. Habermehl allegedly possessed a blue 2007 Chevrolet Malibu, knowing it to have been stolen; knowingly exerted unauthorized control over property of Elizabeth Dean, being a blue 2007 Chevrolet Malibu, total value in excess of $500.

Kalvin D. Thomas, 17, of 1130 Dawn Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary on Feb. 28 by Belleville police. Thomas allegedly entered into the dwelling place of Anna Nance, 1112 Dawn Drive, Belleville, with the intent to commit theft.

Demetric C. McClain, 21, of 5601 Tudor Ave., Centreville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery with great bodily harm on Sept. 10 by Alorton police. McClain allegedly caused great bodily harm to Deandre Remond Cullum, in that he punched her in the face.

Brandon J. Davis, 19, of 409 E. A St., 1, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of two counts of burglary on March 1 by Belleville police. Davis allegedly entered a motor vehicle, a silver 2011 Ford Taurus and a maroon 2010 Hyundai Sonata, of John Reinheimer, 615 Bristow Ave., with the intent to commit theft.

MONDAY, MARCH 4

Josh Rehmer, 35, of 11440 Mill St., Lenzburg, arrested on suspicion of domestic battery, subsequent and three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon on Feb. 28 by St. Clair County sheriff. Rehmer allegedly made physical contact with Andrea Rehmer, a family member, in that defendant struck her about the face with his hand; knowingly possessed a 12-gauge shotgun, a .9mm handgun, a .22-caliber rifle. Defendant had been previously convicted of domestic battery on July 11, 2003.

Brandee A. Lortz, 22, of 15 Hermitage Drive, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage of government property and driving under the influence of alcohol on Feb. 28 by Swansea police. Lortz allegedly damaged, without the consent of the Swansea Police Department, a department door, located at 1400 N. Illinois, Swansea, which property is supported in part with funds of local government, said damage not in excess of $500; drove a green 2001 Saturn on the 3900 block of Sullivan Drive in Swansea, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol.

Nina Dorsey, 46, and Julia M. Tillis, 43, of East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery on March 1 by Caseyville police. Dorsey and Tillis allegedly caused bodily harm to Mary King, a physically handicapped person, in that they dropped her on a table.

Kristofer M. McDavid, 37, of 2915 Otto St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of murder, intent to kill or injure on March 1 by Swansea police. McDavid allegedly and with the intent to kill or do great bodily harm to Carmen R. Boyd, stabbed her in the face and neck with a sharp object, thereby causing her death.

Thomas A. Bray, 45, of 13 Shallowbrook Drive, O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass to residence on March 2 by Shiloh police. Bray allegedly entered and remained within the residence of Adam Logan, 31 Innsbruck Drive, Shiloh, at a time when said defendant knew that one or more persons were present in that residence.

FEDERAL COURT

FRIDAY, March 1

Anthony Montez Taylor, 45, of East St. Louis, was sentenced Friday in federal court to 12 years in prison, followed by four years of supervised release, fined $400 and a special assessment of $100. Taylor had previously entered a plea of guilty to a single count of possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Michael A. Cooper, 27, of Centreville, was sentenced on Friday in federal court to six years in prison on one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon. Cooper had previously pleaded guilty, admitted that he had possessed several guns, knowing that he was a convicted felon and that it was illegal for him to possess the guns.

Chris L. Hibbler, 44, of East St. Louis, was sentenced Friday in federal court to 27 months in prison for unlawful possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon. Hibbler was also ordered to pay a $250 fine and a $100 special assessment. He must also serve a term of three years of supervised release following imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system. Hibbler has been in custody since July 2012.
