Metro-east residents are in for a taste of spring this weekend.
The temperature will reach 53 degrees Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Skies will become increasingly cloudy throughout the day, but no rain is expected.
On Saturday the high is predicted to reach 63 degrees with partly sunny skies. Showers are expected to move in during the late evening hours with wind gusts of up to 25 miles an hour.
Sunday morning thundershowers are likely to last until noon when the temperature will reach a high of 59 degrees. The chance of rain will taper off after that and temperatures will fall to 47 degrees in the afternoon.
