Madison County State's Attorney Tom Gibbons will speak to members of the Riverbend Growth Association Leadership Academy at 11 a.m. Friday in Edwardsville.

He will discuss his duties and responsibilities as state's attorney. Madison County Chairman Alan Dunstan, Sheriff Bob Hertz and Recorder Amy Meyer also are expected to speak to Leadership Academy members.

The Riverbend Growth Association functions as both a chamber of commerce and an economic development organization for parts of the Madison County area.

The event will take place at the Madison County Administration Building, located at 157 N. Main St. in Edwardsville.
