A 62-year-old Belleville man was charged with multiple counts of sexually abusing a 12-year-old female relative.

Michael Foxworth Jr., of 660 N. 38th St. Apt. A, was charged Wednesday with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, class X felonies, and two counts of criminal sexual abuse, class 2 felonies.

On Jan. 17, Belleville police officers responded to a hospital for the report of criminal sexual abuse. The girl told police that the sexual abuse occurred over the past several months.

Foxworth's bail was set at $750,000.
