The weekend taste of spring weather in the metro-east is long gone Monday morning with a high temperature that will struggle to reach 40 degrees before dropping in the afternoon.
Wind gusts of up to 25 miles an hour will make it seem much colder.
There is a chance for light rain early on Mondy, according to the National Weather Service. After 1 p.m. precipitation could return with a 20 percent chance of snow showers.
The temperature is expected to rebound to 49 degrees under mostly sunny skies Tuesday.
