After the embassy blast in Ankara, Turkey, Congress began pointing fingers back and forth across the aisle. With all of the talk about budget problems and increasing national debt, I still find it hard to believe that Congress is so blind to the security of American embassies, yet is more than willing to send F-16 fighter jets to Egypt, a country that openly opposes the United States. This is not the only hostile country that the U.S. is supporting; Are there no intelligent people in D.C.? Sorry, that was a silly question, the answer is obvious.
I think it would be great if we had some good leaders, rather than career politicians who are only interested in hearing themselves babble and waiting for their retirement pay, either by retiring at old age or just by losing an election. What a way to make a living. Don't you think everyone should become a politician? No matter how bad a politician was, no matter how corrupt they were, they all get a great send-off when they leave office, saying what a wonderful job they did for the people, and that they leave a wonderful legacy. Of what? Corruption?
