Teresa Schmidt, president, Belleville Parents & Friends of Lesbians and Gays, in part of what you said I will agree. We are made in God's image. Also that God has no favorites, also that God loves us all, but in the Bible God's word states that marriage is between a man and a woman.

There is no pick and choose in the word of the Lord. You are to do his will, not yours. There is no picking out parts of the Bible to satisfy you. It don't work that way. God states homosexuality is a sin.

I agree that the law for benefits could be changed for civil unions. Those who want the law to be changed, go after the government and try to have the law changed. Stop trying to use the parts of the Bible to achieve your goal.

God said marriage is between a man and a woman. God says homosexuality is a sin, and you are to repent. So, as you should see, the Lord does not approve it.

Read Corinthians 6:9; 1 Timothy 1:2 in the Bible and you will find the truth about homosexuality.

Christians, call your representatives and tell them to vote "no" on same-sex marriage. God forever.
