St. Louis Cardinals broadcaster Mike Shannon is set to open his latest restaurant in Edwardsville on Friday.

Shannon's Grill will serve burgers, sandwiches, salads and entrees featuring fish, chicken and steak.

"I've had a home in Edwardsville for over 30 years, and it's a great community that is a natural fit for our new place," Shannon said in a press release.

The grill will offer a more casual setting than Mike Shannon's Steaks and Seafood in downtown St. Louis. The restaurant and bar will open at 4 p.m. for dinner, with lunch offerings to begin at a later date.
