Candidate forums planned in Edwardsville and Glen Carbon

A series of candidate forums will be held in Edwardsville and Glen Carbon.

The League of Women Voters of the Edwardsville Area will present a candidate forum at 7 p.m. March 20, at the Wildey Theatre. This forum will feature mayoral candidates Hal Patton and Barb Stamer, as well as candidates for Ward 6, Elizabeth Link, Craig Louer and Larry Miller.

At 7 p.m. March 21, the League of Women Voters of the Edwardsville Area will conduct a meet and greet event at the Glen Carbon Senior/Community Center at 151 N. Main St. Speakers will include Village Board candidates Douglas Dial, Jorja Dichmann, Brooke Harmony, David S. Smith and Mary Beth Williams, and candidates for the Glen Carbon Centennial Library Board Kathy Dortch, Amy Gabriel, Terry Hillig, Kimberly A. Hood and Diane Lasseigne.

The League of Women Voters of the Edwardsville Area will conduct a candidate forum at 7 p.m. March 26 in the Edwardsville High School Auditorium for candidates for District 7 Board of Education. Brad Hewitt, Dorothy Hummel, Jeff Miller and Greg Roosevelt are running for the three seats within Edwardsville Township. Lelan Olsen, Bob Perica and Richard Salmi are seeking the one seat outside of Edwardsville Township.

At 7 p.m. April 2, the League of Women Voters of the Edwardsville Area will host a meet and greet for Edwardsville Township candidates in the Hays Mallory Building in Edwardsville. Township Supervisor candidates, Barth Legate and Frank Miles, will speak, followed by the five candidates running for Township Trustee: Gary Head, Erika Kennett, Kenny Krumeich, Danny Picarrella and Randy Williamson.

The public is invited to attend each event.
