Marriage as God intended

Published: March 13, 2013

The letter from the president of Belleville PLAG was well-intentioned but wrong in some of its facts and mistaken in its logic. The Jesus she appeals to is a distortion of the real Jesus. It is a Jesus that exists only in the minds of revisionists.

I have published evidence in the European journal Filologia Neotestamentaria that Jesus named homosexual behavior on his sin list in Mark 7:22, using a word usually translated as "licentiousness" or "lasciviousness" (you may Google for the title "Aselgeia in Mark 7:22").

It is a huge mistake in logic to believe that all we see in nature is a good gift of God. God loves the adult who is attracted to children, but God did not give him or her that desire. So the issue is not justice or equality or love. God's intention for sexuality is spelled out three times in the Bible. "The two (man and woman) shall become one flesh." God desires nothing less than the best for the needs of our hearts.
