The Wildcats of Edwardsville Lincoln Junior High School will compete in the Class 4A Illinois Elementary School Association Eighth Grade State Volleyball Tournament at Kingsley Junior High School in Normal beginning Saturday.

Owners of a 21-2-1 record, the Wildcats will meet the Manteno Panthers (25-0) in a 2:15 p.m. quarterfinal on Saturday. This year's Manteno team placed third at state as seventh graders in 2012. The Wildcats took fourth place in the eighth-grade tournament in 2012.

With a victory, Lincoln will move into a semifinal at 5:15 p.m. Saturday. The third-place and championship matches are slated for Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., respectively.
