Ask Skip Kernan how he has wasted your tax dollars and helped the state of Illinois go broke through pension abuse. Kernan is one of those professional politicians who is always looking for the gravy train.

Before he was voted out of office as a part-time Swansea village trustee, he swore he qualified for a state-sponsored pension fund because he maintained that, as a trustee, he worked the equivalent of 40 hours a week for 25 weeks a year as a Swansea trustee. Hogwash.

Now he is running for St. Clair Township Highway Commissioner so he can get back on the pension gravy train and have all of the taxpayers of Illinois support him when he retires. No wonder the state is broke. Vote "no" to Kernan on April 9.
