BELLEVILLE POLICE

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13

10:32 a.m. Burglary to business -- Law and Grace Ministries, 428 E. A St. The minister reported between 10 p.m. and 8:30 a.m., unknown person(s) gained entry through a side window.

2:24 p.m. Forgery -- Shop 'N Save, 800 Carlyle. Employees reported on Dec. 23 an unknown male made a purchase with a check. The check has been returned to the business due to it having been altered.

7:56 p.m. 911 calls from a child -- 1000 block of East A. Street. Dispatchers began receiving numerous 911 calls from a subject claiming to be an injured 6-year-old juvenile female home alone. The subject stated she had fallen down some stairs, couldn't move, couldn't move, was bleeding from her leg, in pain and couldn't signal officers. Officers and detectives responded to the area of the alleged injury and began door to door canvassing. Additional calls from the alleged 6-year-old coupled with extensive coordination between the department and cellular provider led officers to conclude the calls were a hoax. The caller terminated the calls at approximately 10 p.m.

11:01 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 600 block of Carlyle Avenue. The victim reported an unknown subject entered his unsecured vehicle and property was stolen.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13

Demario L. Lewis, 28, of 752 N. 76th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on March 11 by St. Clair County Sheriff. Lewis allegedly carried in a vehicle a .40-caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business. Said defendant had not been issued a current valid FOID Card.

Demarco R. Williams, 31, of 120 St. Barbara, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of home invasion, causing injury, aggravated domestic battery, two counts of domestic battery, subsequent offense, unlawful restraint, child endangerment and theft on March 2 by Fairview Heights police. Williams allegedly entered the dwelling of Stacy Whitson, 2864 N. 89th St., Caseyville, knowing Wilson to be present within the dwelling and intentionally causing injury to Whitson in that said defendant struck her head against the bathroom sink; knowingly made physical contact with Whitson, a family/household member, in that the defendant placed his hands around the neck of Whitson and applied pressure did intentionally impede the normal breathing or circulation of blood of Whitson; used his foot to stomp on Whitson, and struck her in he head; detained Whitson in the bathroom of her home by placing his foot against the bathroom door, refusing Whitson to exit; willfully caused the health of a male minor, date of birth Jan. 4, 2007, to be endangered in that said defendant continued to strike the minor child's mother, Stacy Whitson, in the site of the minor child; and knowingy took control over property from Whitson, a Mesmerize U.S. cellular phone, total value not in excess of $500. Defendant had been previously convicted of domestic battery on Nov. 30, 2001.

Tyrone James Jr., 37, of 5609 Bond Ave., Alorton, arrested on suspicion of theft, subsequent on Feb. 5 by Belleville police. James allegedly took merchandise from Target, 5601 Belleville Crossing, Belleville, being several DVDs, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft subsequent on Aug. 30, 2010.

Walter S. Reed, 22, of 1112 Lynch St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on March 11 by Illinois State Police. Reed allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Raynard Sherrod, 39, of 1608 Fifth St., Madison, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon on March 11 by East St. Louis police. Sherrod allegedly caused an injury to Eric Stevenson, in tha the shot Stevenson in the leg with a gun; knowingly possessed a firearm at a time when he was not on his own land or in his own abode or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had been previously convicted of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on July 14, 2009.

Raymond E. McCraw III, 38, of 103 Edward, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing and unlawful possessionof methamphetamine on March 11 by St. Clair County sheriff. McCraw allegedly knowingly assisted in the production of a substance containing methamphetamine. Defendant knowinly did so in the structure where a child was under the age of 18 was present. He also knowingly had in his possession less than 5 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine.

Ashley K. Poppe, 22, of 64 Circle Creek Lane, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing on March 11 by St. Clair County sheriff. Poppe allegedly had in his possession less than 5 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine; knowingly assisted in the production of a substance containing methamphetamine. Defendant knowingly did so in a structure where a child under the age of 18 was present.

Jarrod D. Grimes, 26, of 1848 Ziebold Road, Valmeyer, arrested on suspicion of aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing on March 11 by St. Clair County sheriff. Grimes allegedly assisted in the production of a substance containing methamphetamine. Defendant knowingly did so in a structure where a child under the age of 18 was present.

Denise Y. Davis, 23, of 213 N. Monroe St., Lebanon, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery on March 11 by St. Clair County sheriff. Davis allegedly made physical contact with Leslie Rivera, in that she grabbed Rivera by her hair knowing Rivera to be a correctional institutional employee engaged in the performance of her authorized duties.

THURSDAY, MARCH 14

Dante J. Henry, 19, of 100 Spring Glen, Collinsville, arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on March 12 by Brooklyn police. Henry allegedly carried in a vehicle a 9-mm handgun and a .38-caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business. Defendant had not been issued a current valid FOID Card.

Samuel M. Price, 27, of 1500 N. 55th St., Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated domestic battery and unlawful restraint on March 5 by Centreville police. Price allegedly strangled Brennisha Ware, a family/household member, in that said defendant placed his hands around the neck of Ware and applied pressure thereby impeding her breathing in the upstairs and downstairs areas of the home; and detained Ware inside of a vehicle against her will.

Joseph A. MacDonald, 33, of 6102 Minnesota, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine on Jan. 29 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. MacDonald allegedly had in his possession more than 15 grams but less than 100 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Joseph W. Richardson, 23, of 1520 W. Belle St., Swansea, arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis on Jan. 31 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Richardson allegedly had in his possession more than 500 but less than 2,000 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

FRIDAY, MARCH 15

Laura C. Hedgeman, 28, of 407 Adams, Brooklyn, arrested on suspicion of armed violence, unlawful possession with intent to deliver cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis on April 12, 2011, by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Hedgeman allegedly while armed with a dangerous weapon, a gun, knowingly had in her possession more than 2,000 grams but less than 5,000 grams of a substance containing cannabis; possessed with the intent to deliver more than 2,000 grams but less than 5,000 grams of a substance containing cannabis; and had in her possession more than 2,000 but less than 5,000 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

Earl M. Smith, 31, of 407 Adams St., Brooklyn, arrested on suspicion of armed violence; unlawful possession with intent to deliver cannabis; unlawful possession of cannabis on April 12, 2011, by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Smith allegedly while armed with a dangerous weapon, a gun, knowingly had in her possession more than 2,000 grams but less than 5,000 grams of a substance containing cannabis; knowingly possessed with the intent to deliver more than 2,000 grams but less than 5,000 grams of a substance containing cannabis; and knowingly had in his possession more than 2,000 but less than 5,000 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

Demorie L. Pointer, 17, of 600 S. Sixth St., Apt. 191, Brooklyn, arrested on suspicion of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of public housing on Feb. 7 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Pointer allegedly while within 1,000 feet of public housing, being the Thomas Terry Apartments, 600 S. Sixth St., Brooklyn, knowingly delivered to Aaron Nyman, less than one gram of a substance containing cocaine.

Quentin J. Patton, 30, of 318 Canal St., Lovejoy, arrested on suspicion of unlawul possession with intent to deliver cannabis on Feb. 10 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Patton allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

Nathan V. Young Jr., 22, of 719 Washington, Lovejoy, arrested on suspicion of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within a 1,000 feet of public housing on Jan. 9 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Young allegedly while within 1,000 feet of public housing, being the Thomas Terry Apartments, 600 S. Sixth St., Brooklyn, knowingly delivered to Karen Gordon, less than one gram of a substance containing cocaine.

Willie C. Brown Jr., 31, of 210 S. Sixth St., Brooklyn, arrested on suspicion of two counts of unlawful delivery of controlled substance within 1,000 feet of public housing on Aug. 1 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Brown allegedly while within 1,000 feet of public housing, being the Thomas Terry Apartments, 600 S. Sixth St., Brooklyn, knowingly delivered to Todd Goldasich and Colin Reckman, less than one gram of a substnce containing cocaine.

Andre B. Murray, 26, of 407 Monroe St., Lovejoy, arrested on suspicion of two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance on Aug. 1 and Aug. 3 and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 100 feet of public housing on Aug. 8, 2012 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Murray allegedly delivered to Todd Goldasich less than 1 gram of a substance containing cocaine; and while within 1,000 feet of public housing, being the Thomas Terry Apartments, 600 S. Sixth St., Brooklyn, knowingly delivered to Todd Goldasich, less than 1 gram of a substance containing cocaine.

Devin Warren, 19, of 133 Thomas Terry, Apt. 133, Brooklyn, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 100 feet of public housing unlawful and distribution of a lookalike substance on July 18 by Metropolitan Enforcment Group of Southwestern Illinois. Warren allegedly distributed a lookalike substance, being a substance purported to be cocaine to Todd Goldasich.

Anthony W. Woodson, 35, of 1615 Wayne Lanter Ave., Madison, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with intent to deliver cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis, subsequent on Feb. 18 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Woodson allegedly possessed with the intent to delier more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams of a substance containing cannabis. Defendant has been previously convicted of unlawful manufacture/celivery of cannabis on April 26, 2002.

Richard Sexton, 58, of 11 Pinewood Drive, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of two counts of child pornography by a sex offender on March 12 and March 13 by Freeburg police. Sexton allegedly, a child sex offender, using a cellular phone, knowingly photographed/took a digital image of a child, a male minor, date of birth Dec. 3 1996, and a male minor, date of birth, Dec. 10, 1997, without the consent of the male minor's parent or guardian.

Darius L. Burton, 25, of 6845 Plymouth Ave., St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on March 14 by Illinois State Police. Burton allegedly carried in a vehicle a .40-caliber handgun, at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible.

Jamielle D. Nickerson, 21, of 207 Primrose Lane, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery in a public place, unlawful restraint and domestic battery on Jan. 31 by Cahokia police. Nickerson allegedly strangled Breana L. Simmons, a family/household member, in that said defendant grabbed Simmons' neck and applying pressure, intentionally impeded normal breathing or circulation of blood; and while Nickerson was at parking lot of Regions Bank, 900 Upper Cahokia Road, Cahokia, a public place, knowingly made physical contact with Simmons, in that the defendant threw Simmons on the ground; and knowingly detained Simmons in that said defendant forced Simmons into the defendant's vehicle and traveled with her to Regions Bank at 900 Upper Cahokia Road; and knowingly made physical contact with Simmons, a family/household member, in that the defendant threw Simmons to the ground.

Letarion T. Gines, 21, of 13 Vieux, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on March 14 by Cahokia police. Gines and allegedly took possession of merchandise from Walmart, 1511 Camp Jackson Road, Cahokia, being Hp Pavilion brand desktop computer, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of theft on May 14, 2008.
