Smithton Township Supervisor Bill Weber, Smithton Mayor Ray Klein and volunteer Marlou Eckert deliver meals to a Smithton resident. Each Monday Smithton Meals on Wheels participants receive one hot meal and four frozen meals for the rest of the week. The meals include a drink, desert and fruit. Klein and Weber helped deliver for the Meals on Wheels program Monday. Millstadt Township Senior Services runs the program for residents in Millstadt, Smithton and Freeburg areas. This month Meals on Wheels is working to increase awareness of the program and encourages those interested to contact their local programs for more information.
