Belleville Police Chief Bill Clay will speak to Belleville Main Street members Tuesday night about the recent armed robbery of a woman sitting in her vehicle on a parking lot downtown.

The meeting is set for 6:15 p.m. at Kaskaskia Engineering Group, 208 E. Main St.

Geri Boyer, of Kaskaskia Engineering, said Clay will talk about the incident and crime overall in downtown Belleville.

Brandon D. Goff, 19, of Belleville, was charged Saturday with felony armed robbery.

Police believe Goff approached the woman's car, which was on South High at East Washington streets, opened the driver's door, pointed a handgun at her and demanded her purse.
