I read in the BND that another Republican senator is thinking of giving in to the gay crowd after learning that his son is gay. Will this be before or after he gives up on other Republican values? Or maybe just after he announces that he is switching parties to become a Democrat?

I cannot help wondering what Abraham Lincoln would have said about slavery if he had been one of today's weak-willed Republicans Maybe, "I am firmly against slavery, unless that offends someone"?

I begin to think it is about time for the Republican Party to take a stage cue and exit quietly on the left, being sure to turn out the lights and lock the door on their way off center stage in America.

Tea Party, anyone?
