By looking at every expense such as reducing cell phone bills from over $500 per month to an average of $150 per month, St. Clair Township Highway Commissioner Mark Burk has saved township taxpayers more than $1 million during his four years in office. He even gave back to the Road Fund $33,000 of his salary. Just check the records if you want to confirm any of this.
In the last four years, Burk has completed more road repairs in the township than had been completed in the previous 10 years and with half the work force.
That is why the road taxes of St. Clair Township have decreased 5 percent during his administration.
I challenge any other elected official to match this outstanding record. Let's keep Burk as our township highway commissioner in the upcoming election.
