I read that Republican Sen. Rob Portman has changed his mind about gays. He found out his son is gay and now he wants to go along with the sinful ways of the gays. Does this mean if I found out my son was a serial killer that I could think it was wrong to prosecute a murderer? Guess so.
This man was elected to represent his district and before he made the statement that he had changed his mind about gays, he should have found out what his people thought. I don't see that Portman's son being gay has anything to do with the Republican Party changing its stance on same-sex marriage. This senator shouldn't try to bully us into thinking it's OK. If God thinks it's a sin, so do I.
It is stuff like this that caused the American people to vote the way they did. We just can't trust politicians to do it right. This will be my question to a politician at the next election and thereafter: Are you a homosexual and, if so, what bills would you try to pass for your own sake?
I really doubt they would tell me the truth. That's my opinion and I'll stick with it.
