Since 2006 our son has been suffering as a result of alcohol given to him by someone he considered to be his friend. Our son was not familiar with the type of alcohol. He did not ask for it. Since he trusted his "friend," he drank it to his detriment.
The young man who served it lived in an apartment in Swansea. Our son started walking home that night. Fortunately, a Swansea police officer saw he was having difficulty and gave him a ride home.
The provider of the alcohol had been from our neighborhood. The unfamiliar alcohol is named absinthe. Doctors have told us it is very dangerous.
Be careful; what you don't know can hurt you. We hope the Drug Enforcement Agency will prevent availability of this very harmful drug. Love your neighbor. It works.
