The Bicentennial 200 Committee is selling limited edition coins in celebration of Belleville's bicentennial.
The 1-ounce silver coins bear the images of the horn from the city flag and the iconic Main Street fountain. Two hundred coins will be sold for $200 each, in honor of the city's 200th anniversary.
The non-profit Bicentennial 200 Committee is donating proceeds from the coin sales to the city's bicentennial celebrations, which will take place throughout 2014.
Debbie Belleville, of the Bicentennial 200 committee, said the group decided to sell the coins as a fundraiser based on the success of a similar effort for the city's 175th anniversary.
The coins are numbered 1-200 and can be purchased by contacting Belleville at email@example.com. Belleville said the group will have an online store in the future.
