In a letter March 5, Justin Gibson professes to be a Christian and goes to church each Sunday, then writes that he is in support of SB10, oddly called the Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act, which if passed allows marriage by the same sex.
The trouble we have in this country is that we take God out of the picture. Once that is done, we can justify almost any decision.
Let's stick with marriage for now. Our Scriptures clearly explain Jesus's words on marriage. In the book of Matthew he says: "Have you not read that from the beginning the creator made them male and female." Is that not clear enough for all? But Gibson and our politicians choose to ignore this with the bill SB10.
Our pastor just last week gave a wonderful homily, cited an example where a father was trying to read a magazine he ordered, and his son kept interrupting him with questions. In that magazine there was a picture of the world, so he tore it into pieces, gave it to his son and told him to go put it together. The son returned in just a mater of minutes. The father said, "How could you possibly have put that together in such a short time." The son said, "It was easy, Dad; there was a picture of Jesus on the back, so once I put Jesus back where he belonged, the world just came together." Until then and only then will our world come together.Vote "no" on SB10 for God's sake.
